White Trash Recipe

White Trash Recipe

This mix is unapologetically simple, wildly versatile, and so delicious it’s almost dangerous. Once you start munching, it’s nearly impossible to stop.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Chex cereal (Rice, Corn, or Wheat—go wild and mix them up if you want)
  • 3 cups mini pretzels (the twisty kind, but sticks work too)
  • 2 cups peanuts (or skip these if you’re dealing with allergies)
  • 2 cups M&Ms (any variety, but the peanut ones? Chef’s kiss.)
  • 16 oz white chocolate chips (or almond bark—it’s your call)

Instructions

1.Combine the dry ingredients. In a gigantic bowl (seriously, grab your biggest one), mix together the Chex cereal, pretzels, peanuts, and M&Ms. Give it a good stir so everything’s evenly distributed.

2.Melt the white chocolate. Pop those white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second bursts. Stir after each round until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.

Pro tip: If your chocolate’s not melting right, add a tiny drizzle of vegetable oil to help it along. Works like a charm!

3.Mix it up. Pour the melted white chocolate over your dry mix and stir until every piece is coated. (Yes, this step is messy. Embrace it.)

4.Spread it out. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mix into an even layer. Let it cool completely.

5.Break and serve. Once the mix is set, break it into bite-sized chunks and transfer it to a serving bowl—or snack straight off the tray. No one’s judging.

Notes

1. Choose Fresh Ingredients

Sounds basic, right? But trust me—stale pretzels or cereal can ruin the whole vibe. Check those expiration dates before you dive in.

2. Don’t Rush the Cooling Process

I get it. The mix smells incredible, and you want to dive in ASAP. But let the white chocolate set completely before you dig in. It’s worth the wait.

3. Go Big or Go Home

When in doubt, double the recipe. This stuff disappears fast, especially if you’re making it for a group. Better to have leftovers (ha, as if) than run out mid-party
