Pork Steak recipe

Perfectly cooked pork steak slices with a pink center, garnished with fresh herbs in a flavorful sauce.

If you’ve never had a pork steak, you’re seriously missing out. It’s juicy, flavorful, and so versatile that it works for everything—from weeknight dinners to backyard BBQs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork steaks (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand works fine!)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks – Rub them with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the steaks – Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear each steak for 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Bake it off – Brush with BBQ sauce and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Rest before serving – Let the steaks rest for about 5 minutes to lock in all those juices.

Notes

  1. Choose the right cut – Look for steaks with good marbling. Fat = flavor!
  2. Don’t overcook – Pork steak should be cooked to an internal temp of 145°F.
  3. Rest your meat – Always let your steaks rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
  4. Experiment with flavors – From Cajun rubs to sweet-and-spicy glazes, pork steak is a blank canvas.
  5. Use a meat thermometer – This will save you from the heartbreak of dry pork.
